In honor of Johnny Appleseed Day, show us a tree.
I went down to Glendalough (Wicklow, Ireland) for a weekend recently in celebration of my 2 year anniversary with my girlfriend Gaia.
We went for a nice walk along the lake and were lucky to get some really nice weather. Gaia took this photo above, and it came out really really well :)
Book: Show us a book you've read more than once.
I really love this book. Haven't read it in quite a while, but I have read it about 5 times at this stage. I'll probably read it again in the not-too-distant future.
If you've never read it, well I recommend it. It's funny, dark, sarcastic and quite a page turner. I think the combination of Terry Pratchet and Neil Gaimen works very well. It's better than any of Terry Pratchet's own work, and quite different to Neil Gaimen's other work.
Check it out.

Video: Show us the first video that appears when you search your name on YouTube.
Well, I searched for my name using inverted commas as the non-exact search didn't really yield anything of note.
So anyway, here's the first video that appears. It's pretty sad, although I can possibly use it to help people realise that they're better off knowing me instead of the following Alex Leonard:

Book: Show us a great comic book.
I remember when I first started reading it I felt that the illustration was somewhat lacking, but as I got inexorably sucked into the story I understood that the illustration suited the story perfectly and was a pleasure to look at.
From Hell concerns an incredibly well-researched take on Jack the Ripper, exploring societal levels from Victorian times, and detailing, in-depth, occult ritual and masonic belief in symbolism and power.
This comic book blew me away. Whether you're into comic books or not, this is another example of Alan Moore transcending a genre and going to another level altogether.
Highly recommended.

I loved this book (and it's the first part of a trilogy!) - consistently had me laughing out loud.
Quite a weird story and quite dark at points, but also extremely funny. I got completely sucked in and had to buy the rest of the trilogy.
Show us your oldest family photo.

Hey hey! I got a Vox Hunt question in there! Deadly.. now I have to follow it up I guess by digging out my oldest family photo ;)
I have a pretty good one, which made me think of this hunt, and I'll include the oldest immediate family photo that I have afterwards.
The first photo is an old photo taken of my great-grandfather's family. My grandfather is the young boy on the right hand side in a sailor suit. I'm not sure what date this was taken, but given that my dad was born in 1946, then it was probably pre-20's?
From bottom left, clockwise: Philip (older bro), Ros (sister-in-law), Sophia (mother), Mark (dad), Me, Andrew (younger bro).
Book: Show us a book you started reading but never finished.
This is an incredible book. Can I say that when I haven't actually finished it?
I think so. I've started this book about 5 times, and each time I start from the beginning and read a little further than the last time.
Each time I've started I have found that I love the book more and more. The language is amazing. Though difficult, it's highly rewarding reading, and each sentence is lush and fabulous.
I highly recommend this even though I've never finished it. I do plan on finishing it, sometime, but it could take a few more years.. I have to start from the beginning again after all.
